It’s time. Time to hunker down and listen to WOXY.com doing SXSW 2009. We have alot in store for you this year too, with close to 30 live session scheduled between now and Saturday. And day one is going to be a real treat too because the lineup today consists entirely of bands that hail from right here in Austin, Texas! SXSWi is in full swing but that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop updating the database! We’ve just added the schedules for the Fader Fort, Brooklyn Vegan/Agency Group show, Lucero Family Picnic, and two Other Music shows at the French Legation Museum. That puts us at over 2,000+ entries for unofficial music bands this year!

One of the cool things about SXSW is seeing bands make their debut. My Jerusalem is led by solo artist Jeff Klein who recruited friends that he met on the road (Klein was a touring member of the Twilight Singers on the Powder Burns tour). Rounding out the band are guitarist Dave Rosser (of Twilight Singers), bassist Ashley Dzerigian (formally of Great Northern), drummer Cully Symington (formally of Bishop Allen) and multi-instrumentalist Rick Nelson (of The Polyphonic Spree and St. Vincent)….
